Message for Primary 5

As part of their 'Victorians' topic, Primary 5 have been reading Oliver Twist, by Charles Dickens. They have also watched parts of the 2005 film adaptation, rated PG. We are now at a point in the film where I must seek parental permission for your child to watch as, in both the novel and the film, a murder is depicted by a pool of blood coming from underneath a door, and there is a scene depicting a hanging.

If you do not wish your child to be read or watch (or both) these scenes, please can you email the school office, who will pass this information to me. We can then discuss alternative plans for your child.
